Crystal Palace will be hoping to build on a successful first season under Patrick Vieira as the Frenchman continues to make his mark on the Eagles.

The Arsenal great has so far overseen a positive transformation in style of play since Roy Hodgson's departure and has helped bring the feel-good factor back to Selhurst Park.

Palace fans were treated to a trip to Wembley as they reached the semifinals of the FA Cup last season, while they finished comfortably above the relegation zone in 12th.

Turning draws (Palace and Brighton drew the most Premier League games last season with 15) into wins will be key if the south London outfit are to achieve a top-half finish.

Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup

Palace enjoyed a memorable run in the FA Cup last season as they reached the last four before suffering a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley. En route to the final, Palace recorded wins over Millwall, Hartlepool United, Stoke City and Everton. They will return to FA Cup action in January.

Palace didn't have the same level of success in the Carabao Cup as they crashed out to Watford in the second round. They'll kick off their EFL Cup campaign in November.

Crystal Palace betting odds

Palace fans will be the signings of the likes of Cheick Doucoure and Chris Richards will give Vieira the tools needed to secure a top-half finish, but the former France star will be without last season's influential Conor Gallagher, who returned to Chelsea following a successful loan spell.

The Eagles have plenty of young, attacking talent in the squad with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze on either flank and talisman Wilfried Zaha up front to cause any team problems, but they'll need to be more clinical in front of goal to turn draws into wins to mount a proper charge for a top-10 finish.

Crystal Palace best & worst Premier League finish

Palace's highest finish in the Premier League came in the 2014/15 season when they came 10th as they amassed 48 points. They began the season with Neil Warnock at the helm before Alan Pardew took over in January.

The Eagles' lowest finish saw them end up 20th in the inaugural Premier League season in 1992/1993 as they were relegated, and they were bottom of the table again five years later. Palace are no strangers to relegation having been demoted on four separate occasions from the Premier League.
