Sometimes the most notable moment at a Chiefs game isn't a Patrick Mahomes touchdown — or any touchdown, for that matter.

Instead, it's when the broadcast pans to Taylor Swift in the crowd, cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce. Such moments happened numerous times throughout the 2023 season, including during Kansas City's Super Bowl win.

There are no signs that'll change in 2024, as the two stars are still going strong in their relationship.

Kansas City enters its final week of the 2024 preseason with a Thursday night matchup against the Bears. Will Swift be in attendance — or could she have a bigger surprise in store?

The Sporting News answers that question and provides the latest updates and news on Swift's whereabouts.

Where is Taylor Swift today?

Swift just concluded the European leg of the Eras Tour, and the 34-year-old superstar is back in the United States.

Her latest show was held at Wembley Stadium in London on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The record-breaking world tour isn't over, but Swift is at the start of a two-month break. She picks up the tour again in Miami in October.

With her schedule open, Swift should available to attend the Chiefs vs. Bears preseason game in Kansas City — or any other event — if she chooses.

Taylor Swift DNC rumors

Swift might not appear in Kansas City, but other rumors placed her in another Midwestern city — Chicago. A special guest is rumored to be taking the stage Thursday at the final night of the Democratic National Convention, and some guessed that a certain pop star would make an appearance.

But a DNC insider told Deadline that such an appearance would bring too much attention for the star and not enough for the focus of the night: Kamala Harris accepting the presidential nomination.

"Think about it, no one would remember a word the Vice President said in her acceptance speech," the insider told Deadline. "All the headlines would be about Swift."

Swift hasn't made a public endorsement of any candidate for the 2024 election, but she's considered the "celebrity earthquake that could shift the electoral landscape" alongside Beyonce for Kamala Harris against Donald Trump.

Swift endorsed Joe Biden (with Harris on the ticket) ahead of the 2020 election. But in an attempt win over Swifties, Trump posted false claims that Swift supported the former president in his 2024 presidential bid.

Taylor Swift at Chiefs-Bears preseason game rumors

Swift missed out on the Chiefs first two preseason matchups due to her Eras Tour schedule, but she has the opportunity to attend the Week 3 matchup Thursday in Kansas City.

Don't count on a Swift appearance, though, as Kelce won't be playing. Head coach Andy Reid announced that his starters won't play against the Bears.
