Inter Milan will face Manchester City in the final of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League on Saturday, June 10.

Inter defeated local rivals AC Milan 3-0 on aggregate in the semifinal to reach their first European final since 2010, when they won the competition as part of an historic treble under Jose Mourinho.

Pep Guardiola's City side managed to knock out reigning champions Real Madrid in the last four, making their second final in three years after a dominant 5-1 aggregate victory.

The Sporting News looks at the head-to-head record between the two teams ahead of the final.

Man City vs Inter Milan history

This will be the first competitive meeting between Man City and Inter Milan. This is because the two sides' time in European competition have not coincided until recently.

Man City first qualified for the Champions League in the 2011/12 season and have featured in every edition since then. Inter were not in the competition from 2012 to 2018 and only made it back into the knockout rounds for the first time last season.

The two finalists have met twice in preseason matches in the past, each side winning once by a scoreline of 3-0.

Inter will have a very tough job on their hands in the final as Man City have not lost in this season's competition. The Citizens have won six UCL games and drawn five.

Simone Inzaghi's side have only been defeated by Bayern this season in the competition. They have won seven matches in the Champions League in 2022/23, including both semifinal legs against Milan.
