The Big Bash League is set to return for another huge season, with the tournament kicking off tonight on December 13th and running through until February 4th.

Perth Scorchers will be looking to defend their title, with both Sydney franchises likely to be in the mix once again.

After the first-ever BBL Draft, top picks including Liam Livingstone and David Willey have since withdrawn from the tournament and have been replaced by some high-profile stars.

Andre Russell and Faf du Plessis will both take part in the Big Bash this year, while Kiwi veterans Trent Boult and Martin Guptill have both been confirmed for the season.

Steve Smith and David Warner will both join the competition at the conclusion of the Test summer.
