Consistency and longevity are integral facets of any sport. More often than not, a sportsperson is successful if they tick both of these boxes. This article looks at the top ten players with the most appearances in the Indian Premier League.
On March 27, Rohit Sharma achieved a unique feat in the competition as he appeared in his 200th IPL game for Mumbai Indians. He is now only the third player in history to play 200 IPL matches for a single franchise, the other two being MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
Again on April 18, Sharma will be only the second player after MS Dhoni to appear in 250 IPL matches when Mumbai Indians will face Punjab Kings.
Who has played the most IPL games?
MS Dhoni has the most appearances in the IPL, having played 256 matches. He is closely followed by Rohit Sharma, who now has 250 matches in his kitty while Dinesh Karthik comes third with 249 games.
