Cristiano Ronaldo is breaking more records at Euro 2024.

The 39-year-old star is in Portugal's squad for the tournament. His selection marks a historic milestone, as Ronaldo is appearing in his sixth European Championship, a record he now holds alone.

Ronaldo first played in the tournament in 2004 and won it in 2016, despite an early injury in the final. His inclusion in the squad means his participation in his 11th major international tournament at Euro 2024, which runs from June 14-July 14 in Germany.

Ronaldo's international career is unparalleled and even at 39, he remains a key player for Portugal, contributing 10 goals in nine Euro qualifying matches, as the team won all 10 games, scoring 36 goals and conceding just two.

Currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo's experience and goal scoring prowess will be vital for Portugal's campaign. Here we look at the next time you can see him action at the finals.

Although he has hinted at a desire to lead Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, his chances of making it to that tournament are uncertain as he will turn 41 before it kicks off.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner started his journey at Euro 2024 against Czechia on June 18, with Portugal having to come from behind to win 2-1 on what was a relatively quiet night for their talismanic No. 7. Against Turkey in the second game of Group F, Ronaldo registered a record seventh assist at European Championship finals as Portugal eased to a 3-0 win.

Even with top spot in the group assured, Ronaldo was not rested for the Matchday 3 game against Georgia on June 26, although he was substituted after just over an hour. It ended in a 2-0 defeat for the 2016 champions.

There was more drama in the Round of 16 match against Slovenia, as a tearful Ronaldo missed a late extra time penalty to deny his side the win, but then stepped up again to score decisively in the shootout.
