Tom Brady is returning to the national NFL spotlight on Sunday but in a much different way than many fans are used to.
The future Hall of Famer, after 23 seasons as a quarterback between the Patriots and Buccaneers, is officially entering the broadcasting world with Fox for the 2024 NFL season. His first call as an analyst is Sunday's Browns-Cowboys matchup at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Brady should have a lot to say on the mic about matching up against Dallas — he had a lot of success against the Cowboys over his career despite playing in the AFC for most of it.
Here's a look at Brady's career record against Dallas, games in which the legendary NFL star could be drawing memories from in his first game as a Fox broadcaster.

Tom Brady career record vs. Cowboys
In the regular season, Brady put together a career 7-0 record against the Cowboys. However, the key phrase there is "regular season."
While the Cowboys' "Brady curse" lasted around 19 years and seven different matchups, Dallas put an end to it with a postseason victory over Tampa Bay — and also put an end to Brady's long career.

In his lone playoff matchup vs. Dallas, which came in January 2023, Brady's Buccaneers fell 31-14 to the Cowboys in the wild-card round. It was the final game of his NFL career, his 48th and final playoff start. It was also Brady's first-ever loss vs. Dallas.
Before that playoff game, Brady spoke about being undefeated against the Cowboys at the time.
"I've played them quite a bit over the years and I have a lot of respect for the organization, their history, a lot of great players. But all of it's about three hours on Monday night," Brady said, per CBS News.
Even when he was 6-0 against Dallas coming into the 2023 season, Brady was certainly aware of his unscathed record.

After that final matchup in the postseason, the Cowboys are 1-7 all-time against Brady, including the postseason. However, he was also undefeated against three other teams in his career, two of which he played for: Minnesota (6-0), Tampa Bay (4-0), and New England (1-0).
Since the legend announced his retirement in February 2023, the Buccaneers replaced Brady at quarterback with Baker Mayfield, who led the team to a playoff win vs. the Eagles last season. His longtime head coach, Bill Belichick, parted ways with the Patriots in January 2024 and hasn't found another coaching job since.

Tom Brady's first game vs. Cowboys
While his final matchup against Dallas came in the postseason when he was well into his 40s, Brady first faced the Cowboys back in 2003. New England's defense shut out the Cowboys, whose quarterback at the time was Quincy Carter.
The Patriots were 8-2 at the time, while Dallas was 7-3. New England went on to win the Super Bowl that season, Brady's second of seven total rings.
No longer on the gridiron, Brady will be in Cleveland on the call for Cowboys vs. Browns on Sunday as each team begins its 2024 season.
