Aston Villa continue their preseason ramp-up to the 2024/25 campaign as the Premier League club finishes its United States tour with a match against Mexican side Club America.
Villa began its preseason with wins over Walsall and Spartak Trnava in Europe, but have dropped both matches in the United States, losing to MLS side Columbus Crew 4-1 before falling 2-0 to RB Leipzig.
The most recent result at Red Bull Arena saw Aston Villa concede twice to the German club in the first half, and Diego Carlos sent off just before the break, leaving manager Unai Emery with plenty to consider as the season draws nearer.
Club America, who just fell to Chelsea in a friendly 3-0 last weekend, are participating in this preseason friendly tour to help fill the gap before their Leagues Cup journey begins. The Mexican side earned a bye to the knockout rounds thanks to their league finish last year, meaning they do not have their first match until August 9.
After meeting Club America, Villa will head back to Europe for friendlies against Athletic Club and Borussia Dortmund before beginning their Premier League season on August 17 against West Ham.
