With the 2022/23 Premier League campaign now completed, clubs are starting to turn their focus to next season.

Chelsea have already confirmed Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager, with the Argentinian set to make sweeping changes at Stamford Bridge, while newly promoted sides from the Championship are preparing for a fresh challenge.

All 20 teams are now in off-season mode, ahead of a return to training in mid-July, as Manchester City wrapped up their campaign with a treble-clinching Champions League final win over Inter Milan.

The Sporting News looks at when Premier League sides will know their calendar for the 2023/24 season.

When are the Premier League fixtures released?

This will be the first time since the 2018/19 season that the Premier League returns to a normal schedule. The COVID-19 pandemic caused disruption and the 2022 FIFA World Cup saw a break in the 2022/23 season.

The Premier League fixtures for the 2023/24 season will be released on Thursday, June 15. All 380 matches will be unveiled at this time, 17 days after the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Liverpool have requested for their first fixture to be played away from home, to allow them more time to finish construction work at Anfield. The expansion will see their stadium capacity go past 61,000 spectators.

The Premier League fixtures will be released on Thursday, June 15 with a confirmed time of 09:00 BST (04:00 ET).

When will the new Premier League season start and end?

There are 76 days between the end of 2022/23, and the beginning of the 2023/24 season, with matches set to kick off on Saturday, August 12.

The 2023/24 season will end on Sunday, May 19, which is slightly earlier than usual, due to the UEFA European Championships in the summer.

The mid-season break will also return this season during the festive period. No two rounds across Christmas and New Year will taken place within 48 hours of each other.

Which teams are in the Premier League next season?

The final day of the 2022/23 Premier League season confirmed the final two relegation places as Leeds United and Leicester City joined Southampton in slipping out of the top flight.

Burnley secured a Premier League return for 2023/24 as EFL Championship title winners, with Sheffield United clinching the second automatic spot.

Luton Town created club history as the Hatters won a dramatic EFL Championship playoff final penalty shootout over Coventry City, to reach the Premier League for the first time.
