AC Milan continue their search for an eighth Champions League title as they face rivals Inter Milan in the semi-final.

The Rossoneri have not won the competition since 2007, when they beat Liverpool in a replay of the 2005 final in Istanbul. Only holders Real Madrid have won the tournament more often (14) than Milan.

Inter have won the Champions League more recently than their counterparts, with Jose Mourinho leading the team to victory in 2010. The club also won back-to-back European Cups in 1964 and 1965.

AC Milan are without star forward  Rafael Leao due to a hamstring injury. Alexis Saelemaekers and Brahim Diaz are the wide attackers playing in support of Olivier Giroud at centre-forward

Unlike most other Champions League ties, the 'home' factor will not be as important in this match as San Siro is the home venue for both teams.
