To the winner goes the spoils. Few quarterbacks have won as much over the past 17 years as Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers' signal-caller has accrued over 55,000 passing yards and 449 passing touchdowns since taking the reins from fellow Packers legend Brett Favre in 2008. The four-time MVP is still is at the top of his game — Rodgers notched 4,115 passing yards and 37 passing touchdowns to just four interceptions in 2021, his age-38 season. As such, he's been rewarded handsomely for his efforts.

Rodgers' on-field success has had its perks. But just what is Rodgers' market value?

Here's a breakdown of Rodgers' net worth, which includes money made in 2022 and over the course of his career, plus endorsements and business dealings:

How much does Aaron Rodgers make in 2022?

At first glance, Rodgers' contract seems fairly insignificant. He's earning just $1,150,000 in base salary. However, Rodgers' deal is laden with other elements that bump up his price point. For starters, his roster bonus, or the money Rodgers makes for being a member of the Packers' active roster, is $40,800,000, according to Spotrac. All of that money is fully guaranteed for Rodgers, written off as a signing bonus. That means Rodgers will actually rake in $42 million in 2022. A pretty penny, for sure.

Rodgers re-upped his deal with Green Bay in March after months of speculation regarding the QB's future.

Rodgers' new deal looks set to keep him in Green Bay's green-and-yellow for the remainder of his career. Rodgers told reporters that he didn't "fear retirement" or "moving on" at the NFL Honors back in February.

And, in typical Rodgers' fashion, he even hinted at retirement (or trade rumors...or perhaps just abject solitude at the prospect of a lengthy offseason) in a cryptic instagram post back in February.

Nonetheless, here are the details for Rodgers' newest contract:

Salary

Rodgers is set to make $1,150,000 in base salary in 2022, according to Spotrac. He will receive a roster bonus of $40.8 million, with about $26 million of that coming by way of a signing bonus.

Individual incentives

Rodgers' has shied away from incentive-laden deals in previous contract negotiations with the Packers. He earned $300,000 in incentive money in 2021 after finishing top of the league in the following categories:

  • Passer rating: 111.9, three points better than second-place Joe Burrow.
  • Completion percentage: 68.9%, besting Dad Prescott's completion percentage by a tenth of a percent.
  • Interception percentage: Rodgers threw four picks in 531 passing attempts He threw an interception in less than one percent of his drop backs, an absurd rate that was easily best in the league.

Rodgers earned $100K for hitting each mark. He also added $100K to his bank account for playing at least 72.5 percent of Green Bay's snaps in 2021.

To date, there are precious few details on Rodgers' contract incentives for the 2022 season. However, it's likely that Rodgers will have to hit similar marks to rack up incentives in 2022.

Playoff incentives

Unsurprisingly, Rodgers' contract is also chock-full of playoff incentives. According to Boardroom.tv, Rodgers could have made up to $400,000 in last year's playoffs. The breakdown was as followed:

  • $120,000 if the Packers made the conference championship game
  • $130,000 if the Packers made it to the Super Bowl
  • An additional $150,000 if the Packers won the Super Bowl.

Rodgers and Green Bay fell short of the conference title game, falling to San Francisco in the divisional round, 13-10. As a result, he didn't receive any playoff bonuses. Expect the 17-year veteran to have similar conditions placed in his new deal.

Aaron Rodgers career earnings

Per Spotrac, Rodgers has reeled in approximately $263 million over the course of his career.

Rodgers' first few years in the league were fairly unremarkable. He spent his time backing up Favre and played just seven games in his first three years. Rodgers' contract reflected his low-key nature; for example, he earned just $505,000 in 2007, according to Spotrac.

Rodgers' renaissance came quickly after Favre's departure. His contract showed as much; Rodgers brought in $12,900,000 in 2008, his first season as a full-time starter.

And despite taking a few team-friendly deals, Rodgers has made some serious bank. Here's a breakdown for each of his contracts, all courtesy of Spotrac.

  • 2005: 5-year, $7,700,000 contract
  • 2009: 6-year, $63.52 million contract
  • 2013: 5-year, $110 million contract
  • 2018: 4-year, $134 million contract extension
  • 2022: 3-year, $150.815 million contract extension

Aaron Rodgers Net Worth

According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Rodgers is worth $200 million.

Among Rodgers' most lucrative business holdings is his investment in the Milwaukee Bucks. Rodgers bought a minority stake in the Bucks in 2018, making him the only active player in the NFL to own a stake in an NBA franchise.

That investment has seemingly paid off in recent years-- the Bucks are one of the best teams in the NBA, led by two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. In 2021, they won their first NBA title in 50 years.

Off the back of their championship win, the Bucks are worth $1.9 billion, according to Forbes. Rodgers' one percent stake is now worth $19 million, a solid fee, when all things considered.
