The Giants pieced together another below average season in 2023, albeit without Daniel Jones under center for the majority of it.

The team began 1-5 with Jones before the 2019 first-round pick tore his ACL and sat out the remainder of the season. Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito shared quarterback duties, leading New York to a 5-6 record to end the season at 6-11.

Jones is back for the 2024 season but not without major questions surrounding his ability to be the Giants No. 1 QB. DeVito and Drew Lock are competing for the spot in the event that Jones doesn't live up to his pricey contract.

Here's the latest on New York's quarterback depth chart and where Jones, Lock and DeVito stand heading into the 2024 season.

Jones still leads the Giants quarterback depth chart, which shouldn't be a surprise despite his poor performance against the Texans in preseason.

The Giants had high expectations for their 2019 first-round pick. They signed him to a four-year, $160 million deal in 2023. The QB has three years remaining on the deal, so it's likely the organization sticks with him at least through 2024.

The Giants considered drafting a quarterback at the 2024 NFL Draft, but they couldn't swing a trade together to move into the top three. It all but confirmed that New York would stick with Jones for at least another season.

Lock slides into the backup role after inking a one-year deal with New York during free agency. He's primarily been a backup aside from the 2020 season with the Broncos.

DeVito is expected to be the third-string quarterback if he remains on the roster. The undrafted rookie filled in for Jones last year with a couple impressive performances, but the magic didn't last.

For what it's worth, DeVito became a social media sensation along with his agent.
