Even when he's not trying to, Travis Kelce can't help seeing the Taylor Swift references.
The Chiefs tight end and the international music star have been dating for nearly a year now. The craze started last fall with Swift attending Kelce's games, and they have since blossomed into one of the most famous couples in the world.
Kelce was always one of the more popular players in the NFL thanks to his chemistry with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The pair have helped deliver three Super Bowl rings to Kansas City. However, Kelce is now expanding his business into other industries, such as film, television, and now, sports racing.
The Kansas City star recently purchased ownership stake in a race horse owned by Barry Irwin, the founder of Team Valor International. Of course, the name of the horse hits close to home for Kelce and the Swifties.

Swift Delivery horse
Irwin announced Tuesday that Kelce is now a part owner of a race horse named Swift Delivery.
The name of the horse came before Kelce's involvement in the 3-year-old gelding, so it is not named after the 14-time Grammy winner. Irwin said it's a "total coincidence".
This isn't the first time Kelce has shown an interest in horses. He was spotted at the 2024 Kentucky Derby, taking in the most prestigious race of the year.
"It’s very exciting," Irwin said to The Associated Press about Kelce's ownership deal. "I met him at the Kentucky Derby and got to spend some time with him and stuff, and we talked about horses and everything. When this horse came to light and it was owned by one of my partners already, with the name I figured this has got to be a no-brainer."
Irwin stated that Kelce has been a part owner of Swift Deliver for about a month now. The specifics of the ownership are not known.
Kelce's brother, Jason, a former Pro Bowl center for the Eagles, poked fun at the name as well, giving an ode to the Swift song, "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart", in a social media post.
Kelce is the latest in a string of athletes getting into the horse racing business. Former MLB outfielder Jayson Werth is the partial owner of Dornoch, who won the 2024 Belmont Stakes. Current NHL defenseman Erik Johnson also has had shares in a number of horses for the last several years, including one named after his captain, Gabriel Landeskog.
Swift Delivery has won his last two races. After a slow start to the horse's racing career, trainer Mark Casse feels as though "the sky could be the limit for him."
"He’s a horse that we always thought a lot of, and he just didn’t perform — and now he’s performing," Casse said to AP. "This horse is good. He’s good right now, and he has the potential to go on and do big things."
