<p>The Copa America 2024 will see a special edition of the tournament take place in the United States — and Canada will be there to enjoy the party.</p>
<p>Les Rouges were one of the last teams to book their qualification, but they had to do it the hard way after beating Trinidad and Tobago in a CONCACAF Nations League playoff match in Texas on March 23.</p>
<p>Victory not only earned them a spot alongside 10 teams from South America's CONMEBOL region and five others from CONCACAF, but it ensured <strong>they will also open the tournament</strong>.</p>
<p>They will face defending champions Argentina, and a possible matchup with Lionel Messi, when the competition begins on June 20.</p>

<h2>Canada Copa America 2024 group</h2>
<p>The initial phase of the Copa America will feature four groups of four teams each, with <strong>Canada placed in Group A alongside Argentina, Peru and Chile</strong>.</p>
<p>The top two finishers in each group will advance to the knockout stage, which will feature eight teams parsed out in a single-elimination bracket.</p>

<p>Canada will have the honor of opening the tournament on June 20 against defending champions Argentina.</p>
<p>From there, they will face Peru in what will likely be a must-win encounter before they close out group play against Chile.</p>

<h2><strong>Canada possible knockout schedule, matches, bracket at Copa America 2024</strong></h2>
<p>If Canada qualifies from the group stage, their quarterfinal match will be against one of the teams from Group B: Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela or Jamaica.<br />

Were they to top the group, that match would be at the <strong>NRG Stadium in Houston</strong> on Thursday, July 4 against the Group B runner-up.</p>
<p>If they finish second, their match would take place at the <strong>AT&T Stadium in Arlington</strong> on Friday, July 5 against the winner of Group B.</p>
<p>In the case of advancing to the semifinals, regardless of group placement, the match will be on Tuesday, July 9 at <strong>Metlife in East Rutherford</strong>. </p>
<p>The final will take place on Sunday, July 14 at the <strong>Hard Rock in Miami</strong>.</p>
