Canada's women's basketball team will head to Paris for their fourth consecutive Olympic Games.
The roster is headlined by multiple WNBA players including Washington Mystics star rookie Aaliyah Edwards and Los Angeles Sparks guard Kia Nurse. Minnesota Lynx forward Natalie Achonwa is set to become Canada's first-ever four-time Olympian for women's basketball.
Canada's best Olympic result was a fourth-place finish in Los Angeles in 1984, but they're coming off a string of impressive performances. They finished fourth at the 2022 FIBA Basketball World Cup and secured a bronze medal at the 2023 FIBA Women's AmeriCup.
This Olympics will also mark the first time in 24 years that Canada's women's and men's basketball teams will compete together in an Olympic Games.

Team Canada Women's Olympic basketball schedule
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place on July 26. The women's basketball tournament tips off two days later on July 28 and ends with the medal games on Aug. 11.
Canada is one of 12 teams to qualify for the Paris Olympics. It will be playing in Group B. Its group-play opponents will be Australia, Nigeria and the host country, France.
