We're back on the track after two weeks off as the fourth race of the 2024 Formula 1 season begins. We're just a few hours away from the Japanese Grand Prix, which gets underway at 2pm local time from the Suzuka International Racing Course.

With 24 races on the calendar in a season that began in early March and runs all the way through to December, there are more World Drivers' Championship points on offer than ever before. After dominant victories from three-time defending champion Max Verstappen in the opening two meetings of the season, the Dutchman withdrew early on at the Australian Grand Prix last time out, leaving the field open for Carlos Saint to win it for Ferrari.

Sainz's Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc finished second last time out and has recorded the fastest lap in each of the past two races, and with Red Bull duo Verstappen and Sergio Perez looking to make an immediate response, we're all set for another fascinating 53 laps.

The 49th edition of the Japanese Grand Prix gets underway shortly, and for all the timings, TV details and streaming services you'll need to follow the action, The Sporting News is your go-to place.
