The Little League World Series is off and running, with Whalley Little League representing Canada at the 2024 tournament.
The team from Surrey, British Columbia, took home the Canada Region Championship to earn Whalley Little League's seventh trip to Williamsport, Pa. It's the 27th time that a team from British Columbia will play in the Little League World Series, the most of any Canadian province.
Whalley Little League will play its first game against Kuei-Shan Little League from Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei, on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Fans in Canada will be able to watch the game live on TSN4.
Canada is still eyeing its first-ever Little League World Series title. A team from Stoney Creek, Ontario, reached the championship game back in 1965, but it lost to a squad from Windsor Locks, Conn.

The 2024 Little League World Series will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 14, and end on Sunday, Aug. 25. Games will either be played at Little League Volunteer Stadium or Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport, Pa.
