The Hughes brothers are making history — again.

Jack, Luke and Quinn Hughes will be the cover athletes for EA Sports NHL 25. It's the first time siblings will grace the cover of an EA Sports game.

It's not the first time siblings were on a cover for a sports game, however. Marc and Paul Gasol shared the honor for NBA 2K16's Spanish edition.

The Hughes name is recent royalty in hockey, as all three siblings were drafted in the top seven overall picks of their respective drafts: Quinn (No. 7, 2018), Jack (No. 1, 2019), Luke (No. 4, 2021).

Their outstanding play throughout the past few years has led to this point. Here's what to know about NHL 25, its release and the cover athlete brothers.

NHL 25 cover athlete

Jack, Luke and Quinn Hughes are the NHL 25 cover athletes. The three brothers are featured in their respective jerseys with a locker room background.

"It was a very proud moment for all of us when we saw the deluxe cover," Jack said. "It reminded us that on the ice we're competitors, always learning from each other, but off the ice we're brothers who love to play hockey."

"We feel incredibly honored to be on the cover of NHL 25," Quinn said. "Being featured alongside my brothers is the sort of thing you dream about as a kid but could never imagine happening in real life."

The trio is grouped together for NHL 25's deluxe edition, but the standard copies will feature individual covers for Jack, Luke and Quinn.

It's the first time any siblings have shared the cover in EA Sports history — not just for NHL video games. The decision to include all three brothers on the cover is a testament to the family's talent displayed over the past few years.

Quinn, the oldest brother, won the 2023-24 Norris Trophy given to the leagues top defender. Luke earned All-Rookie honors in 2023-24 playing alongside his brother Jack, the 2019 No. 1 pick.
