ESPN’s “College GameDay” show is back for Week 0’s first game of the 2024 season — Florida State vs. Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland

However, one of the show’s famed analysts won’t be appearing.

Lee Corso, now 89, has been with the pregame show since it was created in 1987. Famous for his “headgear pick,” Corso is the only member of “College GameDay” remaining from its inception.

The Sporting News has you covered on Corso’s involvement in “College GameDay” for Week 0 and beyond over the 2024 college football season.

Will Lee Corso be on ‘College GameDay?’

While Corso is not joining the crew for its Week 0 show in Ireland, he will be back on camera in the near future. As “College GameDay” heads to Texas A&M for Week 1, Corso will return as an analyst for the game.

The broadcast in College Station, Texas, will highlight No. 20 Texas A&M’s matchup with No. 7 Notre Dame.

Corso, who has missed some shows in the past, will be back on ESPN next week alongside the rest of the analysts.

Who is on ‘College GameDay?’

While Corso will be absent for Week 0, “College GameDay” will still include a number of usual faces, along with a hyped-up addition.

Rece Davis will be hosting once again for his 10th season on the show, and he'll be joined by returners Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee.

One of the bigger storylines for the Week 0 show will be the “College GameDay” debut of legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban after it was announced he would join the show in February.

Finally, insider Pete Thamel, betting analyst Steve Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims will return to the program as well.

Week 0’s guest picker will be sticking to the Irish theme in Dublin, with WWE wrestler and Ireland native Sheamus joining “College GameDay.”
