The Netherlands and Austria will both be looking to confirm a top-two finish in Group D when they face off in Tuesday's Euro 2024 contest in Berlin.

Ronald Koeman's side simply need to avoid defeat on Tuesday to secure a top-two finish, while the Dutch would also secure top spot in their section by matching France's result against Poland, with them sitting above Didier Deschamps' troops on goals scored heading into Matchday 3.

The Dutch come into this clash after a goalless draw with tournament-favourites France on Friday, though there was still discontent as Xavi Simons had a second-half strike ruled out for a controversial VAR call.

Austria, meanwhile, gave their prospects of landing a spot in the last-16 a vital boost with an impressive 3-1 victory over Poland on Friday. Ralf Rangnick's side will give everything in their power to leapfrog the Netherlands into second.

Netherlands vs. Austria confirmed lineups, starting 11, team news

The Netherlands lost both midfielders Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners to injury in the week leading up to the tournament but did not appear to suffer any fresh injuries in the opening two games.

Joey Veerman is back in midfielder after being dropped for Jeremie Frimpong against France, and there's a change to the whole of the right flank, with Lutsharel Geertruida and Donyell Malen coming in. Tijjani Reijnders is the No. 10 instead of Xavi Simons.

Netherlands starting lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Verbruggen (GK) —  Geertruida, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Ake — Schouten, Veerman —  Malen, Reijnders, Gakpo —  Depay.

Austria boss Ralf Rangnick tweaked his starting lineup ahead of the Poland win and changes have been made for Tuesday.

Max Wober and Philipp Lienhart start in central defence, with Kevin Danso left out.

Veteran Marko Arnautovic, who replaced Michael Gregoritsch up front on Friday, keeps his starting spot after scoring a spot-kick last time out. Wolfsburg winger Patrick Wimmer also steps in after being sent on in place of midfielder Florian Grillitsch early in the second half against Poland, while Alexander Prass is another dynamic option who earns a start at left-back.

Austria starting lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Posch, Lienhart, Wober, Prass — Seiwald, Grillitsch — Wimmer, Schmid, Sabitzer — Arnautovic.
