Logan Paul has claimed his first piece of championship gold in WWE, defeating the legendary Rey Mysterio to claim the United States Title at the Crown Jewel premium live event.

The 28-year-old, who made his pro wrestling debut in April 2022, has been splitting his time between boxing and sports entertainment, as well as his various other business ventures and podcast commitments in recent months.

However, after soundly defeating Dillon Danis last month, Paul called out Mysterio for a shot at the coveted prize and the champion obliged, leading to an exciting bout in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

In a back-and-forth contest, Paul would emerge victorious after using a pair of brass knuckles on the iconic luchador, ending Mysterio's reign via nefarious means.

Logan Paul ready for extra pressure as WWE United States Champion

Following his shock victory in Riyadh, the social media sensation spoke to ESPN about the 'bucket list' moment and admitted there would be a new sense of responsibility on his shoulders as one of the promotion's title-holders.

"I think I have to... you're going to have to watch Raw, you're going to have to watch SmackDown," Paul said.

"I'm going to make some surprise appearances and show these wrestlers who's the real king.

"Tonight was a fight. Tonight was hard. I feel like I really earned this. My blueprint cannot be duplicated. My pace is unmatched. I'm not playing the same game as the other people. I've beaten the matrix and I'm the architect.

"I have a bit of occupational ADHD... wherever my attention goes, wherever the people are the most entertained - and at the moment, that is the WWE, and [I'm] just focused on building my brands and protecting this belt."

The Ohio native won the US Title in just his eighth match inside of a WWE ring, with previous victories over The Miz and Ricochet highlighting a meteoric rise in the business.

At this stage, there are no clear challengers to Paul's newly-won crown in WWE, but there will likely be no shortage of competitors ready to step up to the plate heading into the November 25th Survivor Series and into next year.

Paul has also had two professional boxing fights - a loss to KSI back in 2019 and the recent win over Danis - as well as an exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather two years ago, but appears to be fixed on pro wrestling for now.
