The Allianz Arena in Munich serves as the setting for a crucial Euro 2024 Group C encounter on Tuesday as Denmark and Serbia battle it out for the right to qualify for the Round of 16.

Kasper Hjulmand's side occupy second place in the group after drawing both of their opening games. The Danes were perhaps a tad unfortunate not to have beaten England in what proved to be a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

The Three Lions are almost certain to make it through to the next round; the rest of the group is wide open.

Fourth-place Serbia, who narrowly lost to England in the group opener, are no longer in contention for the top spot, but they are not completely out of the picture just yet. Dragan Stojkovic's men played out a dramatic 1-1 stalemate with Slovenia last time out to leave things hanging in the balance.

Denmark vs. Serbia lineups & team news

None of Denmark's players came off injured against England last Thursday, leaving the treatment room empty. Thomas Delaney, who has recovered from the illness bug that saw him ruled out of that game, is available again.

Delaney could make the squad on Tuesday, but he has little chance of replacing Morten Hjulmand or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who were brilliant at dictating the tempo of the game on Matchday 2. Captain Simon Kjaer could also return to the fold.

Denmark projected starting lineup (3-4-1-2, right to left): Schmeichel (GK) —  Andersen, Christensen, Vestergaard — Bah, Hojbjerg, Hjulmand, Maehle —  Eriksen —  Hojlund, Wind.

Serbia boss Dragan Stojkovic is facing some important selection decisions ahead of Tuesday's match at the Allianz Arena.

On the injury front, only Filip Kostic is missing for Serbia due the knee issue he suffered against England.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was dropped against the Slovenians but may feature here at the expense of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Luka Jovic has had to take a back seat to Aleksandar Mitrovic and Vlahovic but could be considered for a more prominent role after ending a run of seven appearances in a row without a goal for Serbia on Matchday 2 with his vital header.

That said, he is unlikely to earn a starting role over all-time top scorer Mitrovic, who should continue to spearhead the attack.

Serbia projected starting lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Rajkovic (GK) —  Veljkovic, Milenkovic, Pavlovic — Zivkovic, Ilic, Lukic, Mladenovic —  Tadic, Milinkovic-Savic —  Mitrovic.

Denmark vs. Serbia prediction

  • Score prediction: Denmark 2-1 Serbia

It will be a close-run affair given what is at stake, but with both sets of players demonstrating their ability to bounce back, it feels like almost anything is possible at the Allianz Arena.

Serbia's talented attackers have once again flattered to deceive in the final third at a major international tournament. These flaws could prove fatal against a pumped-up Denmark side that caused plenty of issues for England, as Hjulmand's men look set to extend their Euro 2024 journey and Serbia prepare to bow out at the first hurdle.
