All Goff things must come to an end.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff was nearing NFL history on Sunday; Goff entered the matchup vs. the Seahawks just 44 pass attempts away from setting the NFL record for most consecutive pass attempts without an interception.
Unfortunately for the Lions, history will elude Goff for at least 403 more pass attempts. Goff's streak ended in flashy fashion on Sunday, throwing a pick-six to Seahawks defender Tre Brown in the fourth quarter of the matchup.

Still, Goff's prowess of taking care of the ball put the Lions in prime position to make a surprising playoff push last year. They could certainly use those same qualities as the 2023 season gets underway.
Here's what to know about Goff's streak, and where it stands in NFL history:
Jarred Goff passes without an interception
Entering Sunday, Goff's streak of consecutive passes thrown without an interception sat at 359 passes. The streak ended at 383 consecutive passes, when the 384th went to Seahawks DB Tre Brown. Brown would take it back for a touchdown, and the Lions would lose the game.
Goff's streak ranked third in NFL history behind Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady — certainly illustrious company to be in. The pick-less streak extended back to the 2022 season, when he threw an interception in Week 9 vs. the Packers. The Lions would win the matchup.
Then, Goff would go the remainder of the 2022 NFL season and Week 1 without throwing a pick, in an impressive streak for the upstart Lions.
Here are Goff's performances without throwing a pick:

Aaron Rodgers holds the record for most passes in NFL history without an interception, with 402 pass attempts. That streak took place in 2018, and ended vs. division rival Bears in Week 16.
Tom Brady is in second place with 399 pass attempts without a pick, which took place in 2022, his age 45 season with the Buccaneers.
Goff now sits in third place in NFL history with 383 pass attempts without an INT.
