After his comments already stirred up controversy with NBA players, Noah Lyles' name is now being thrown around the NFL for the same reasons.

The Olympic sprinter questioned whether winning the Super Bowl presented a legitimate claim to a world champion title, resulting in backlash from one of the fastest players in the league: Tyreek Hill.

Nicknamed "Cheetah" because of his speed, Hill spoke out on Lyles' comments publicly in an interview at Dolphins training camp. Friday, Lyles mentioned the wide receiver but couldn't quite recall his name, fueling the growing rivalry between the two athletes.

Here's everything you need to know about the latest developments between Lyles and Hill, including how the Olympic sprinter mentioned he doesn't know who the NFL star is.

Noah Lyles response to Tyreek Hill

In a video of the track star, Lyles appears to forget Hill's name when mentioning the wide receiver.

"What's that guy? What's the cheetah guy from football? I can't remember his name," Lyles said, asking someone off camera, "What's the football player that thinks he's fast's name?"

While it's unclear what Lyles was asked that made him speak about Hill, it's likely it was in reference to Hill's comments made earlier this week about the sprinter.

Lyles was later asked by Shannon Sharpe and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson about a race with Hill. The sprinter did not back down from the challenge,

"If he's serious about it, not just talking on the internet," Lyles said. "If you're serious about it, you'll see me on track."

Hill is challenging Lyles

What did Tyreek Hill say about Noah Lyles?

On Monday, Hill was interviewed by Kay Adams for "Up & Adams" at Dolphins training camp. The reporter asked Hill his thoughts on Lyles' comments about Super Bowl champions not being considered World Champions, and the wide receiver was quick to criticize the track star.

"Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what just happened to him. Then he want to come out and pretend like he sick. I feel like that's, like, horse radish," Hill said, referencing Lyles finishing third in the 200-meter at the 2024 Paris Olympics before revealing he raced with COVID-19.

Adams followed that up by asking if Hill would like to challenge Lyles to a race when he returns from the Games.

"I would beat Noah Lyles," Hill said confidently. "I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles. And guess what? When I beat him, I'mma put on a COVID mask and let him know I mean business. Because I do mean business."
