Manchester United and Liverpool will wrap up their preseason tours of the United States by taking on each other in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday.

Both Premier League giants won their most recent friendly clashes as Arne Slot's men defeated Mikel Arteta's Arsenal 2-1 in Philadelphia, while the Red Devils triumphed in a five-goal thriller with Real Betis.

The Sporting News looks at the latest team news and possible lineups for this match.

Man United vs. Liverpool predicted lineups, starting 11, team news

United's injury woes continue to mount even before the new Premier League season kicks off. Leny Yoro's fractured metatarsal could sidelined him until November, while Rasmus Hojlund faces a six-week layoff due to a hamstring injury sustained against Arsenal.

The injury bug also struck United's attacking duo as Marcus Rashford and Antony were forced off against Real Betis on Wednesday. Antony, who came on as a second-half substitute for Amad Diallo, lasted just 24 minutes before succumbing to an issue.

Rashford's ankle injury, caused by a nasty challenge from Betis midfielder Sergi Altimira, could be a significant blow to United's attack, especially with Hojlund out for an extended period.

These injury setbacks may open the door for Hannibal Mejbri and Mason Mount to stake their claim for a starting spot in Saturday's match against Liverpool. Andre Onana and Jonny Evans could also be in line to bolster the defensive unit.

Man United predicted XI (4-2-3-1 right to left): Onana (GK) — Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Evans, Amass — Casemiro, Eriksen — Sancho, Mejbri, Diallo — Mount.

In stark contrast to United's mounting injury woes, Slot reported that none of his players picked up any issues during their 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

The Liverpool boss confirmed that Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch, who were both on the bench after their Euro 2024 exploits, should be ready to make their first pre-season appearances barring any late setbacks. Diogo Jota, who completed the first half against the Gunners, is also set to feature.

Curtis Jones overcame a knock to start against Arsenal and is expected to be available, but left-back Andrew Robertson remains in Liverpool's medical room and will miss this match.

After experimenting with a 4-2-2-2 formation against Real Betis, Slot reverted to a more conventional 4-3-3 setup in the last outing, with Mohamed Salah occupying his usual position on the right wing.

Liverpool predicted XI (4-3-3 right to left): Kelleher (GK) — Bradley, Quansah, Konate, Tsimikas — Szoboszlai, Jones, Bajcetic — Salah, Elliott, Jota.
