A fight to determine the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999 takes place on May 18. WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury faces IBF, WBA, WBO, and The Ring champion Oleksandr Usyk for all the gold in Saudi Arabia. The fight airs on DAZN and ESPN+.
A former English, European, and British heavyweight champion, Fury became the unified heavyweight champion in 2015. He beat Wilder in 2020 to become WBC heavyweight champion, competing in an epic trilogy against "The Bronze Bomber." In October 2023, Fury beat Francis Ngannou but was knocked down by the former UFC champion, delaying a guaranteed fight with Usyk by a few months.

A 2012 Olympic gold medalist, Usyk won the WBO cruiserweight title in 2016. He competed in the 2017-18 World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament and ran through the competition to become undisputed. Usyk moved up to heavyweight in 2019 and beat Anthony Joshua via unanimous decision in September 2021 to become the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight champion, winning the Ring belt in a rematch in 2022.
Fury is a natural heavyweight and believes Usyk's journey in the heavyweight division will come to an end on fight night.
“When the cruiserweights step up to the big boys, usually they get found wanting. You can beat the average big ones but you can’t beat the elite big ones, because size really matters. We have weight divisions for a reason and he’s going to be found wanting when he fights me on May 18. This is my time, my destiny, my era and my generation. Fact," Fury said via The Guardian.
