Ajinkya Rahane's crucial innings under pressure
Leicestershire found themselves in a precarious position at 74 for 3, trailing by 225 runs in their second innings against Glamorgan. The situation demanded a calm and experienced head, and Rahane, with all his experience, stepped up to the challenge.
Walking in when his team was struggling at 37 for 2, Rahane displayed a masterclass in batting under pressure. Rahane, who had scored an unbeaten 47 at stumps on Day 3, carried his form into the final day, eventually reaching a well-deserved century.

He reached his century in style, cutting back-to-back deliveries to the boundary, eventually scoring 102 runs off 192 balls. His partnership with Peter Handscomb has been pivotal in Leicestershire's fightback against Glamorgan.
For those unacquainted, Rahane's last appearance for India was during the West Indies tour in July 2023. Since then, he has been out of the Indian setup.
