Australia will play their sixth match of the 2023 World Cup against New Zealand at the HPCA Stadium on October 28.

The five-time world champions had a dismal start to the tournament as they lost their first two matches to India and South Africa respectively in an unconvincing fashion.

The Men from Down Under recorded their maiden victory of the tournament against Sri Lanka. Adam Zampa bowled impressively, as he finished with a 4-fer, as Australia restricted their opponents to 209.

Mitchell Marsh (52) and Josh Inglis (58) scored half-centuries as the Aussies chased 210 runs in 35.2 overs to complete a five-wicket win.

They followed that up with a terrific win over Pakistan in Bengaluru to climb up the table. After being put in to bat, David Warner (163) and Mitchell March (121) scored sumptuous tons to help Aussies post 367 on the board.

While Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq scored fifties opening the innings for Pakistan, Adam Zampa was the star for Pat Cummins' men with a 4-wicket haul that helped them register a 62-run win.

On Wednesday, they registered the biggest win in World Cup's history as they thrashed Netherlands by 309 runs.
