Cricket World Cup 2023: England vs Australia score, result, highlights as Aussies knock reigning champions out

Australia took another step towards a top-four finish in the 2023 World Cup by beating reigning champions England in match 36 of the tournament in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Batting first, the Aussies were bowled out for 286 runs with Marnus Labuschagne contributing with 71 runs. He was ably supported by Steve Smith (44) and Cameron Green (47).

While chasing the total, the English were bowled out for just 253 runs thanks to some quality spin bowling Adam Zampa who took three wickets. 

Among the English batters, David Malan and Ben Stokes scored half-centuries while Moeen Ali got out for 42.
