What are Rinku Singh’s thoughts on his IPL salary?

Rinku Singh, who has been with KKR since 2018, was first bought for ₹80 lakhs and later retained for ₹55 lakhs. Despite not earning the massive sums some of his IPL peers receive, Rinku expressed his satisfaction with his current earnings.

"Even 50-55 lakhs is a lot. When I started, I didn’t even imagine I would earn this much," Rinku said.

Rinku's humble perspective comes from his experience of growing up in a financially constrained household. He highlighted that his focus remains on what he can control—his game—rather than chasing bigger paychecks.

Rinku Singh has seen a steady rise in his career, moving from being a promising domestic player to becoming a part of KKR. His hard work paid off as he earned a spot in the Indian national team and was included in the BCCI's annual retainership contract, making him eligible for ₹1 crore per year.

Despite this success, Rinku shared that his key to staying grounded is remembering that "you did not bring anything with you, nor will you take anything with you." He added that staying humble is important, especially in a sport where fortunes can change quickly. "You never know when time will change. I would like to say that you have to go back the same way you came. Stay grounded, what else," Rinku explained.

Rinku Singh’s story is a reminder that success is not just about money. His grounded attitude and focus on the value of what he has achieved speak volumes about his character.
