The 2023 ODI World Cup set to be held in India is definitely the biggest event in cricket calendar this year, with reigning champions England set to defend the trophy against some of the best cricketing nations in the world.
One of the ten locations across which matches in this year's World Cup will be played in is the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with the venue also hosting one of the semi-finals.

Former India skipper and opener Virat Kohli is very much looking forward to playing at the location.
'Looking forward to playing in Mumbai': Virat Kohli
Speaking to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Kohli mentioned he was excited to come back to the venue where he won his first ICC trophy and ODI World Cup. He added that things were however a bit different now since he was a young player back then and now he is coming as a senior member of the squad, where expectations will not be the same as back in 2011.
"Personally, I’m looking forward to playing in Mumbai. Fond memories of the finals, obviously, in 2011. It’ll be great to experience that atmosphere again. I’ve played one already but I was 23 at the time. I didn’t have any idea about the expectations on the senior players. But now, being a senior myself, I can understand what they went through and how special it is to play a home World Cup. How excited people are going to be. It’s an experience people want in their careers and I’m getting to do it twice," said the former India skipper.
