What did Jasprit Bumrah say about the difference in captaincy of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma?
The Indian fast bowler is currently the vice-captain of the Test team, as the deputy of skipper Rohit Sharma.
Talking about Rohit, Bumrah had a lot of praises for his current captain, as he had shown a lot of belief in the pacer even as a youngster in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
"Rohit [Sharma] is one of the few captains who has empathy towards bowlers, despite being a batsman. He understands players' emotions and knows what a player is going through. Rohit is not rigid; he is open to feedback."
Bumrah credited MS Dhoni for guiding him after making his India debut under the latter's captaincy, during an ODI against Australia, in 2016, at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
"MS [Dhoni] gave me a lot of security, quickly. He has a lot of faith in his instinct and doesn’t believe in a lot of planning."

Further, he complimented Kohli, who was known for his expressive style of captaincy, which demanded a lot of aggression and passion from his players.
It was under Kohli that Bumrah had transitioned from a youngster to one of the greatest fast bowlers of this generation, particularly with his impressive performances in the red-ball format.
Earlier, post the T20 World Cup 2024 victory, Kohli had also praised Bumrah calling him "a once in a generation bowler", saying that India is lucky to have such a great fast bowler like him.
"Virat [Kohli] is energy-driven, passionate, wears his heart on his sleeve. He pushed us in terms of fitness and changed the narrative that way. Now Virat is not the captain, but he is still a leader. Captaincy is a post, but a team is run by 11 people," he revealed.
