Usain Bolt, one of the ambassadors for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, was present at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York for the first look on Wednesday, May 15.
The stadium in New York, a modular model built from scratch for the 2024 T20 World Cup, is set to host the iconic India vs Pakistan clash on June 9 during the group stage.

Bolt was joined by former cricketing icons such as Curtly Ambrose, Liam Plunkett, and Shoaib Malik, as well as USA cricketers Corey Anderson and Monank Patel, both of whom have been named in the squads for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Prominent sports figures from New York and USA, such as John Starks (NBA / New York Knicks), Elena Delle Donne (WNBA / USA), Bartolo Colon (MLB / New York Yankees-Mets), Victor Cruz (NFL / New York Giants), and Ibtihaj Muhammad (Fencing / USA), were also present for the occasion.

'Will be full of energy' - Usain Bolt excited to see cricket action unfold in New York
Bolt, arguably the greatest sprinter of all time, shared his thoughts about New York being one of the cities which will host the 2024 T20 World Cup, stating that the venue will be buzzing with energy during the games, making it an idyllic arena.
The new stadium is going to be a fantastic place to watch from. It’s very enclosed and you feel very close to the action. I can imagine it will be full of energy when cricket fans get to Nassau County International Stadium next month.

As many as eight games will take place at the 34000-seater Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. India will be playing three group stage fixtures at this venue: against Ireland (June 5), Pakistan (June 9), and co-hosts USA (June 12)
