IPL 2024 has indeed been a season of breaking records, especially with the bat. With teams crossing the 200 and 250-run landmark quite often this season, batters have dominated on an individual level as well.

In the most recent IPL clash on Friday evening, Gujarat Titans (GT) openers, skipper Shubhman Gill and his partner Sai Sudarshan, both managed to score centuries against the five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad

GT went on to post 231 runs on the board for a loss of three wickets, eventually winning the match by 35 runs. With this win, they have put CSK in a delicate situation and have kept their slim chances of qualifying for the playoffs alive.

With two centuries from two very good batters on an eventful night in Ahmedabad, IPL has now reached three figures in terms of centuries, with 101 centuries in across 16 seasons in total.
