The draft for the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2024 in Australia, is set to take place on September 1, and the first group of confirmed players have been announced, which includes three Indian stars.
Along with the Indians, several English players including Heather Knight and Sophie Ecclestone had also put up their names for the draft, with the WBBL scheduled to start on October 27.

Which Indian players will be a part of the draft ahead of WBBL 2024 season?
A total of 19 Indian cricketers have been confirmed to participate in the upcoming WBBL 2024 season after they had entered their names for the draft, scheduled to take place of September 1.

Deepti Sharma in particular, has been in the news recently after she led the London Spirit to victory in The Hundred 2024 Final, finishing the game in style, by hitting a six in the last three balls of the match.

While Kaur, who was part of the Melbourne Renegades last season, has a chance to be retained by the team, while Rodrigues and Sharma was last involved in the WBBL during the 2022 season with Melbourne Stars and during 2021 with the Sydney Thunder, respectively.

So far, only Smriti Mandhana has been confirmed to play in the next season as she was signed up by the Adelaide Strikers among the many pre-draft signings who will be expected to be available throughout the season.
