We're back for the fifth meeting of the 2024 MotoGP season, and after a homecoming race for a number of this year's riders in Spain, there's another iconic track coming into view. It's the Grand Prix de France, held at the Bugatti Circuit in arguably the spiritual home of all motorsports — Le Mans.

Two-time defending world champion Francesco Bagnaia returned to form at the Spanish Grand Prix, defeating home favourite Marc Márquez by just 0.372 seconds in a photo finish at the Circuito de Jerez. That victory takes Bagnaia back up to second in the 2024 Championship standings, above Italian compatriot and Ducati team-mate Enea Bastianini but still trailing Jorge Martín by 17 points.

The Grand Prix de France has been held in locations all over the country since it was first raced at Albi back in 1951, and Giacomo Agostini is its most successful rider, with seven wins in the 500cc and 300cc categories between 1969 and 1975. Jorge Lorenzo has the most MotoGP wins, with five between 2009 and 2016.

Bagnaia will be hoping to build on his victory in Spain last time out, particularly given that in last year's France Grand Prix, has was one of several big hitters unable to finish the race. Himself, Maverick Vinales, Luca Marini, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, both Marc and Alex Marquez were all forced off the track in respective accidents and collisions, and those drivers — as well as the MotoGP organisers and track stewards — will be hoping things go much more smoothly in 2024!

Ahead of the fifth race of the MotoGP season, The Sporting News has you covered with all the TV and streaming details for regions across the globe you'll need to catch every practice and qualifying session, as well as the race proper from this weekend's France Grand Prix at Le Mans.
