Tyreek Hill put up a mountain of production in Week 1.

The Dolphins outlasted the Chargers in a west-coast thriller, 36-34, thanks to a dream performance by Tua Tagovailoa. The fourth-year QB out-dueled his NFL Draft classmate Justin Herbert, and he had a big assist from his top target on offense to do it.

Hill exploded for one of the best games of his career in Week 1, and it's become something of the norm for him in a Dolphins uniform. Already, five of Hill's top 10 games (receiving yards) are in a Dolphins uniform. He played 91 games with the Chiefs in his career, and Sunday was just his 18th with the Dolphins.

Hill has said that he's aiming for 2,000 yards in 2023. With a game under his belt, he certainly seems to be on pace for that — and a lot more. Here's what to know about his performance on Sunday:

Tyreek Hill stats today

In Week 1, Hill exploded for 215 yards on 11 receptions and two touchdowns vs. the Chargers. That's one of the best performances of his NFL career, and the third 200-yard performance he's had.

For Hill, it's the first 200-yard performance that he's had in a Dolphins uniform, though he's come pretty close in prior matchups. In 2022, Hill caught 11 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns vs. the Ravens in a win over Baltimore, while he put up 188 yards on 12 catches vs. the Lions.

What's perhaps most impressive is that Hill had to wait until his 43rd career game to put up a 200-plus-yard performance, while he notched his first 200-yard performance with the Dolphins in his 18th career game with the team.

Tyreek Hill most yards in a game

While his Week 1 performance was stellar, it still doesn't come quite close to the most yards that Hill has had in a game in his career.

On Nov. 29, 2020, Hill put together a Hall of Fame-worthy performance against the Buccaneers, when he caught 13 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns. The Chiefs would win 27-24.

While that's a gaudy number, it's the 14th most receiving yards in a single game in NFL history. Flipper Anderson has the most yards in an NFL game, with 336 receiving yards vs. the Saints in 1989.

Here are Hill's top-10 performances ranked by receiving yards:
