Barcelona are set to play their home games in the 2023/24 season away from the Spotify Camp Nou as their home stadium undergoes renovation.
The Spanish giants are spending £1.3 billion on the renovation project which will see their stadium capacity increase from 99,354 to 105,000. The improvements will also see a roof being added to the venue.
Talks of a renovation first came about in 2014, but delays have caused the work to start much later than expected. Some fans are not thrilled about the change, however it should benefit Barcelona in the long run with increased revenues.

When are Barcelona returning to Camp Nou?
Work has already begun as parts of the stadium have been demolished to make way for the new structure. It is thought that Barcelona will only be playing one season away from the Camp Nou.
It is reported that Barcelona will return to the Camp Nou for the 2024/25 season, but only 50 percent of the stadium will be used for matchdays during that time for a capacity of approximately 49,000.
The renovations are scheduled to be completed in 2026, but it is unclear whether or not it will be used to its maximum capacity during the 2025/26 season.

Where is Barcelona playing home games in 2023/24?
Barcelona will be looking to move back to the Camp Nou as soon as they can so they do not have to pay an exceeding amount of rent for their temporary stadium.
Xavi's side will be playing their 'home' matches at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, which is also known as the Montjuic Olympic Stadium.
The venue, which is also located in Barcelona, has a capacity of 55,926 and was one of the main venue of the 1992 Olympics and Paralympics.
