Terence Crawford is ready to add more gold to his waist, while champion Israil Madrimov looks to defy the odds against a pound-for-pound great. Madrimov defends the WBA super welterweight title against Crawford. The interim WBO belt is also on the line.
Crawford looks to win gold in a fourth weight class. One of two male fighters to hold undisputed gold in two divisions, “Bud” has 31 wins via knockout and has been near-perfect in all his fights. He last fought a year ago, beating Errol Spence Jr. to become undisputed at welterweight.
Madrimov has only been competing since 2018 but has already shown signs he has what it takes to compete against the best. The Uzbek has seven wins via knockout, taking out Magomed Kurbanov in March to win WBA gold. It was his first fight in a year.
