Australia have secured a 2-0 series win, demolishing West Indies by 419 runs with well over a day to spare at Adelaide Oval.

After winning the opening match in Perth in convincing fashion, the hosts were far too good in the pink-ball Test as the likes of Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head playing starring roles.

Backing up from his twin tons in the opening match, Labuschagne backed it up with 163 runs in the first innings, further cementing himself as the world's best batsman.

Head missed out on triple figures in the first Test but turned up on his home turf, scoring a blistering 175 that included 20 boundaries.

And despite the absence of skipper and fast bowler Pat Cummins, the Aussies tore through the Windies in both innings to secure a mammoth victory.

West Indies were bowled out for 214 in the first innings with Nathan Lyon (3/57) the pick of the bowlers, before an embarrassing batting display on the final day and a half saw the visitors rolled for just 77.

Replacement players Michael Neser and Scott Boland both took three poles, but it was a big day for Lyon who reached 450 wickets at Test level - just the third Aussie to reach the milestone.

Australia will now take on South Africa in a three-game series beginning on December 17th.
