Speaking about Warner's reaction, Labuschagne said,

The Sky crew knew that Jonny was in there and they just replayed it on the screen. And as you do, everyone's watching. Obviously seeing all of us watching, he's like, 'Are you guys happy with that?' Dave Warner's like spitting out his chicken and goes... 'Yeah, very!' The only word said.

As per the age-old tradition at Lord's, both sets of teams sit down for lunch after walking through the Long Room. And it seems, there were plenty of tension and fun (depending which side of the debate you are on) in the room then.

What was the controversy regarding Jonny Bairstow's runout at Lord's?

The Second Test between Australia and England in this year's Ashes was rife with controversial moments, with multiple talking points for supporters throughout the match.

One such incident took place during the last day of the Second Test involving England's Jonny Bairstow and Australia's Alex Carey. England's chase seemed to be on track with Ben Stokes and Bairstow looking to consolidate the innings.

It so happened that Bairstow ducked Cameron Green's short delivery before leaving the crease in the 52nd over. However, just as he had ventured out of the crease, Carey had launched a throwback at the stumps and it hit the target and the Aussie players immediately celebrated, while the English batsman looked bewildered by what just took place.

The on-field umpire consulted the third umpire, who after reviewing the incident have Bairstow out, which was met with boos from the home supporters.
