The IPL 2024 player auction will be held outside India for the first time in the competition's history as the event will be conducted in Dubai this time.

While the main tournament has been conducted outside the country on multiple occasions, for the first time, the player auction will not be held in India.

The auction will take place in the United Arab Emirates on December 19, 2023.

When is the IPL 2024 player auction?

The IPL 2024 player auction is all set to be conducted on December 19. It will take place at 1 PM IST after it was previously set to take place at 3 PM IST. 

Where will the IPL 2024 player auction be held?

The IPL 2024 player auction will be held at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This will be the first time that the auction will be conducted outside India.

What will be the team purse of IPL 2024?

The BCCI has decided to increase the value of the team purses by INR 5 crores which means that All teams will now be able to spend INR 100 crores from the upcoming auction.

Which players are set to take part in IPL 2024?

BCCI will decide on the players' pool by early December after the teams submit their list of retained and released players by November 26.

Cricinfo reports, that several prominent overseas are likely to be part of the IPL 2024 player auction. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc is likely to return to the competition while Pat Cummins could put his name in the players' pool for the auction. 

Among the other prominent names who could be part of the auction are Travis Head, Alex Hales, Sam Billings and Chris Woakes.
