WPL Season 2: From Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur to Alyssa Healy, complete list of players retained by teams

The inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) was a grand success with Mumbai Indians lifting the first-ever WPL trophy.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led franchise finished second in the league stage, tied on points with Delhi Capitals and then went on to beat Delhi by 7 wickets to win the title.

Some of the top players across the world namely, Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning, and Ellyse Perry along with Indian stars like Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues took part in the competition last season.

And now, preparations for a new season have already started as the teams have announced their list of retained players.

Smriti Mandhana will continue to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore while Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to continue at Mumbai.

Here are the lists of players who have been retained by their respective teams ahead of the WPL season 2.

Indian players: Harmanpreet Kaur, Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar, Saika Ishaque, Amanjot Kaur, Jintimani Kalita, Humairaa Kaazi and Priyanka Bala.

Delhi Capitals: List of retained players

Indian players: Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Shikha Pandey, Poonam Yadav, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, Taniyaa Bhatia, Minnu Mani, Sneha Deepthi, Titas Sadhu.
