Belgium know that the time has come for them to finally deliver if they are to shake off the nearly-men tag that has weighed heavy on them at major tournaments.

The No. 2-ranked side in the world heading into the Qatar 2022 World Cup, there has been surprisingly little fuss or fanfare about the chances of Roberto Martinez's Red Devils lifting the trophy in Lusail on December 18. And perhaps with good reason.

Blessed with some of the best individual players on the planet — not least Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne and Real Madrid playmaker Eden Hazard — Belgium have, on paper, all the attributes needed to compete with, and beat, the very best. Yet they have never been able to take that final step.

The closest they have come was four years ago in Russia, when a semifinal defeat to eventual champions France dashed their hopes and they ended up finishing third.

This time around, they will be expected to once again make a run at the knockouts, but first they must negotiate a tricky encounter with Morocco on Sunday.

While Belgium were made to work hard for an opening 1-0 Group F win against Canada, Morocco had to settle for a point from a 0-0 draw with 2018 runners-up Croatia.

The North Africans are unbeaten in their past six matches and will harbour hopes of an upset that could lead them to a first trip to the Round of 16 since 1986.

Can they spring a surprise and dash Belgium's hopes yet again? Here's everything you need to know to watch the match in the UK on TV or online via live stream.
