The last lap of this year's regular season for the Professional Fighters League ends on July 1, as Kayla Harrison faces her toughest task to date. Inside Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Harrison takes on Kaitlin Young.

Harrison's original opponent, Julia Budd, had to back out of the fight due to injury.

A two-time Olympic gold medalist in judo, Harrison came into the MMA world with a lot of hype. Joining the PFL in its lightweight division, Harrison has mowed down the competition from day one. In 2019, Harrison won the PFL Women's Lightweight Tournament, beating Larissa Pacheco in the finals. In 2021, Harrison repeated as champion, taking down Taylor Guardado in the finals.

This year, Harrison beat Marina Mokhnatkina in May to start her PFL season.

Young, a pioneer in women's MMA, turned pro in 2007. She won three fights in November 2007, one against Miesha Tate, to win the HOOKnSHOOT Women's Grand Prix. Competing for Invicta and RIZIN, Young has fought the likes of Julie Kedzie, Leslie Smith, Liz Carmouche, and Gina Carrano.

Young joined the PFL in 2021 and is 1-2 with the promotion. Her last fight was a loss to Budd in 2021.
