Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce returns to the world stage in sports. This isn’t her first rodeo, however. She has been a mainstay in track and field for several years, winning eight medals and taking home three gold medals.

She may be 37, but like all older athletes, the term “Father Time” eventually catches up to everyone. Let's hope not for the Jamaican sprinter—at least not for a few weeks. She told Olympics.com that the Paris Olympics would be her final go-around, capping a long career.

“It has been challenging, but I was able to, with grit, perseverance, and determination, secure a spot on the team and give myself the opportunity to represent Jamaica again at the Olympics,” Fraser-Pryce told reporters after her race June 28.

Whether or not Jamaica has the talent to compete with the U.S. will be answered shortly after the Olympics begin.
