The first short deck event at the Triton Super High Roller series in Vietnam has a winner. Danny Tang bested 57 entrants to take down the 427,000 first prize and his first Triton win.

Phil Chiu was the short stack entering Day Two, and he was the first player to bust out. He went all-in with ace-queen offsuit and was called by Tang's jack-ten offsuit. The board gave Tang a straight to knock Chiu out.

Michael Watson busted in sixth place. He got his aces in preflop against Kian Lee's pocket jacks as a 71 percent favorite, but Lee flopped a set to win the hand.

In fifth place was Isaac Haxton. Haxton called off his stack with king-jack offsuit. Stephen Chidick, with ten-nine offsuit, paired his nine to win the pot.
Kiat Lee was out in fourth when his pocket jacks couldn't hold up against Tang's ace-queen offsuit. It was a rough day for Lee, who couldn't seem to build the momentum that he had on Day One.
Richard Yong was out in third. His ace-queen offsuit was dominated by Chidwick's ace-king. The 199,300 cash added to his no. 2 ranking on the Malaysia money list.
The heads up battle between Chidwick and Tang lasted about half an hour. Tang started with a three-to-one chip lead, which he maintained throughout the match.
The final hand came with Tang holding pocket jacks against Chidwick's eight-nine suited. The money went in preflop, with Tang a 66 percent favorite. Chidwick did flop a straight flush draw, but couldn't hit any of his outs.
It was a well-earned first Triton victory for Tang, who had previously finished runner-up twice on the Triton tour.
