Jesper Lindstrom career history and likely position

Lindstrom's arrival marks Everton's fourth signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of Tim Iroegbunam, Iliman Ndiaye, and the loan recapture of Jack Harrison.

The Danish player, who previously had stints at Brondby, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Napoli, brings a wealth of experience from different leagues, including playing in the Champions League and Europa League.

Everton manager Sean Dyche praised Lindstrøm's versatility, and has indicated he will likely be deployed across the forward line, stating: "Jesper is a player with very good ability who can operate in different attacking roles. He is hungry and eager to succeed with us, which is a strong starting point as we look to add more productivity to our attack."

Director of Football Kevin Thelwell echoed Dyche's sentiments, expressing confidence in Lindstrom's potential impact. Thelwell said:

Jesper is a player we have been interested in for a long time. He has exciting attributes that we know Evertonians will appreciate.

Lindstrom's move to Everton comes after a successful stint at Napoli, where he joined in August 2023. He had previously helped Eintracht Frankfurt win the Europa League in 2022 and scored his first Champions League goal against Marseille.

Now, he looks forward to making an impact in the Premier League and hopes to be a key player for Everton in their quest for success this season.
