Luis Enrique will be looking to add to his career trophy case as manager of PSG beginning with the 2023/24 season.

The 53-year-old returned to club management following a spell with the Spain national team, leading his home country at Euro 2021 and at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He replaces Christophe Galtier, who managed to Parisian side for just one season before parting ways with the club. The former Nice manager won the Ligue 1 title and French Super Cup (Trophee des Champions) during his time in charge.

The Sporting News looks at Luis Enrique's managerial record and the trophies he has won.

Luis Enrique clubs managed

Enrique learned his trade with Barcelona B before getting his first professional managerial job in charge of AS Roma in Italy.

He did not get off to a great start in Italy's Serie A, departing after just one season as he failed to qualify for a European competition with the Giallorossi.

Enrique began reshaping his reputation back home in Spain's La Liga during his one season in charge of Celta Vigo. He led his side to a ninth-place finish and managed to beat Real Madrid 2-0 in the campaign, ending Los Blancos' title chances.

His best spell as a manager came with Barcelona, where he made over 200 appearances as a player. With a front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, the Blaugrana won a European treble in his first season in charge.

The club success earned him the post of Spain national team manager in 2018, taking a leave due to the illness and passing of his daughter. He returned to the post in November 2019 and led the country into two major tournaments.

What trophies has Luis Enrique won?

Enrique has only won silverware during his time at Barcelona so far in his managerial career.

Not only did he have world-class players with the Blaugrana, but he also enjoyed continuity with the club. It's the only club team he has managed for more than a season.

Enrique also enjoyed immediate success. During the 2014/15 season, he guided Barcelona to La Liga, Champions League, and Copa del Rey treble. He also went on to win the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2015, earning FIFA World Coach of the Year accolades in the same year.

He went on to win four more trophies with Barcelona before leaving in 2017.

Enrique came close to silverware with Spain, finishing as runners-up in the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League to France. They also lost on penalties to Italy in the Euro 2021 semifinals and to Morocco in the 2022 World Cup Round of 16.
