The third Grand Slam of the year is upon us as Wimbledon welcomes the world's best tennis players to SW19 for the latest chapter in the tournament's glorious history.
British tennis fans will be hoping Andy Murray, alongside British men's No.1's Cameron Norrie and US Open champion Emma Raducnau, can put on a show and enjoy deep runs in the tournament but the latter goes into the competition with plenty of uncertainty given her injury struggles in recent weeks.
All eyes will be also be on Rafael Nadal aiming to win a third slam of 2022, while Serena Williams unexpected return to the court is sure to create excitement.
The Sporting News has taken a look at the latest Wimbledon betting odds and the current favourites to win the tournament in both the men's and women's singles.
Wimbledon 2022 betting odds
With world number one Daniil Medvedev absent because of Wimbledon's ban on Russian players this year and world number two Alexander Zverev injured, Novak Djokovic is in an even stronger position than usual to win the title.
The 20-time Grand Slam winner has won the past three editions of Wimbledon, so it is little surprise to see bookmakers consider him the odds-on favourite ahead of Matteo Berrettini, who took the first set off Djokovic before losing to him in four sets in the 2021 final.
Berrettini has just won Queen's, so his shorter price than Rafael Nadal, who can remain on course for the Calendar Grand Slam with victory but has had familiar issues with a foot injury this month, makes sense.
Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz won the Madrid Open and the Miami Open this year. The 19-year-old reached the second round on his Wimbledon debut in 2021 and is being touted by some as a successor to Nadal, having risen to world number seven.

In the women's draw, Iga Swiatek is on a 35-match unbeaten run, winning her past six tournaments to become the obvious favourite and, at 21, the youngest top seed at Wimbledon for 11 years.
American prodigy Coco Gauff is three years younger than Swiatek and won only four games against her in the French Open final, which partly explains why the joint-second favourite, alongside Wimbledon 2021 quarter-finalist Ons Jabeur, is considerably longer odds.
The outsiders among the favourites cannot be discounted because of their pedigree. Simona Halep won the 2019 final against Serena Williams, the seven-time champion who has been seeded despite a prolonged absence that has seen her fall to a world ranking of 1,204.
As for Raducanu, Sky Bet are currently offering odds of 33/1 for her to repeat her Flushing Meadows heroics.
